Why is it that Modern Punks hate Straight Edge?

Yeah, everybody got their own opinion on things like this, but you're right, they aren't really punk and "disobeying the rules and laws" if everybody in the hood is like them. By their definition, they would have to break every single law there is, including felons, in order to be a real punk. That would get them put in jail, and trust me, those guys in for life in jail aren't necessarily what you'd call "punk." They are really crazy nutcases. Being punk is about being a nonconformist, and defying the sheep majority, so being a straight edge when everyone else is doing drugs makes you punk. Anyway, realistically speaking, you'll have a better life if you're a straight edge in the real world.
