Why can't the people of the Middle East get along with Israel?

It looks like no matter what Israel can't get along with anyone. The USA always defends Israel - no matter what....It's ridiculous how this war with Hamas has gotten - and both sides are wrong. How can we best solve this? And, is our undying response always in Israel's favor because the rich and Jewish population is contributing financially to the politicians? I see no other country we defend so readily and without question. This response from Israel is over the top - how many people have to die for Israel to stop? Hamas is definately wrong here too, but I feel we need to stay OUT of middle east politics to keep us safer in the world. Maybe if no one aided Israel they'd be forced to get along with their neighbors, and Hamas too.
