PLEASE HELP?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Okay, so my Dad is a compulsive hoarder. How can I help him? Besides insisting he go to therapy, which he has declined to go to for 15 years. I'm going to graduate from highschool in the spring, and I really don't know what to do. My brother's "selfless" attitude (his words, not mine) is to clean up the entire house, since my Dad hasn't. Is this the right thing? I know enough about compulsive hoarding, that cleaning up doesn't help since it's a mental problem--the stuff will return. Whenever we clean up, it hurts my Dad so much (probably because he isn't in control). So, what does the Bible say about compulsive hoarding? And what can I, as a Christian (or even if I wasn't a Christian), do to help him? He won't go to therapy, and I hate to hurt him so much, what can I do?
