Side effects of Senna Leaf Tea and Pancreatitis?

Need help here and hoping a doctor may be around. 2 people I know had Pancreas attacks recently... there are 2 things those 2 people had in common ...was that they used Senna Leaf Tea as a laxative. One used it 3 times in 1 day. The other used it 2 times in one day and once to twice that following week. They did this because they were severely constipated up to the rib cage (according to docs). They both ended up with a Pancreas attack. However, one was drinking right before this all happened. The other rarely drinks and in small consumption. What I'm wondering is whether or not a few days or tea bags of Senna Leaf Tea could actually cause a Pancreatic attack. Please people, I need help here for my relatives and horror stories won't help... so I would appreciate only knowledgeable and honest helpful answers. Thanks so much.
