Should I have been concern to tell my bf I bought me a new computer?

We have a good relationship we are close to each other, we are serious. hes always concern about EVERYTHING .. he asks me questions, he listen to everything i say, and respond with a concern or statement he believes. he watched my every move from the things i say to the things i do.. to how i act when im around him, to the way I look at him!!.. ( we are long distance i guess he wants every moment we get to see each other with it being that we are only able to see each other but a few times i guess he wants it to be PERFECT when we are alone ) but anyways it's not that's hes a controll freak, hes just a very Very caring person, and to himself he always want to feel highly secured mentally and emotionally. So i bought a new computer due to him- long story we had a problem in our relationship we couldn't see each other it upset him it highly upset me, I became pissed off by the situation .. And... I crashed my computer!! I threw it down , tossed it up the wall etc.. i had a emotional break down it went bad. So i wasn't going to ever tell him ( HOW WOULD I LOOK? HE WOULD THINK IM CRAZY AS HELL!!! ) $ 500 dollars gone to waste on nothing then another $500 to replace it, seriously that over him? wasn't worth it i know. i slept up and told him i bought a new one he said, you bought a new cp and didn't tell me? i ain't know what to say. was it important for him to have known should i feel a little bad?
