Why am I stuck in this inescapable trap?

I hate television, but everyone else in my family loves it. So I am still forced to listen to it and look at the screen a lot, because it is always on in four rooms. So even though I hate television, I am still forced to be around it. Family Guy is on at my house all the time, and my brother won't stop talking about it. It just sickens me when I see my family sitting on the couch, just staring at a stupid screen. Don't they have anything better to do then to stare at a screen mindlessly? Doing practically anything would be better than that.
